Post I'm new....
I'm new to the area and to the sport (at least the bike/swim part) and am looking for suggestions for a swim coach. I am in dire need of learning good stroke technique and gaining some confidence in the water before I try my first tri.......

Thanks in advance for any information/advice you have to offer a "newbie."

Amy

I think the Lighthouse still has a masters group on Tues and Thur evenings
you'll have to check for sure
John Brown holds these and he also does private lessons
He is the swim team coach and very good

Post me too....new that is
I am new too, thinking of making Hilla either my first relay event or do the sprint as a "trial" to see what is what. Also, want to come to Splash and Dash. Do you have to be a member? Can anyone come for the clinic and try things out? I have a guy willing to do the bike, I'll do the swim but we need someone to do the 10K run. Interested in a relay?

Club events are open to everyone but expect to be encouraged to join
If you don't get a runner here try OK land runners

If you live on the south side of town, the Norman YMCA had a great coach (David Gray).

Masters swim at Downtown Y on Wednesdays is targeted to restart in September. Unless something changes, I will be taking over that program.
